Congratulations to Josh McLaughlin (p7) for beating stiff opposition and being chosen to represent the city of Dundee in the Dundee Select Football Team.

Huge congratulations to Karen in the school office on the birth of her son Cameron McKay Rollo. 6lbs 8oz and absolutely gorgeous!!

As this session draws to a close, we say goodbye to three members of teaching staff. Mrs Stephen retires after 26 years at the school and Miss Connor also retires after 12 years with us. Miss McEwan is  heading back to Glasgow and has secured a  teaching post there. These three ladies have had a huge influence on the lives of all the children they have come into contact with and we wish them well for whatever their futures hold.

Mrs Cameron also begins her maternity leave at the end of term and we look forward to meeting her little baby soon!

We welcome from St. Fergus Primary, Sarah Thompson and Lisa Bissett. Miss Thompson will take P7 and Miss Bissett, P5. Both these ladies are excellent practitioners and I enjoyed working with them previously at St Fergus. I am delighted they have joined the St. Ninian’s family :)

We also welcome Lesley Thompson from Longhaugh Support Group who will run our new Nurture Room.

From August 2012 we are introducing the new St. Ninian’s uniform. The core colours are black and green. Green jumpers and cardigans with the school badge are available to order from the Schoolwear shop in Commercial Street. We also have school coats and white polo shirts with the school badge. We feel uniform is important for our school and look forward to seeing a sea of green come August.
